Job Description

We’re the burger restaurant with the uncomplicated formula: burgers and fries cooked to perfection, with no frozen ingredients. In every restaurant, you’ll find talented Assistant Managers who work with the General Manager and share the responsibility for the success of the restaurant’s results. This includes; leading, inspiring and coaching the teams to ensure the restaurant delivers profitability, and optimises all sales opportunities while delivering an excellent level of customer service. Our Assistant Managers are there to demonstrate leadership, coaching and direction, along with bringing our values to life for their team and our customers.

Job Responsibility

  • Leading, inspiring and coaching the teams to ensure the restaurant delivers profitability, and optimises all sales opportunities while delivering an excellent level of customer service
  • Leading from the front and being hands-on, working on the line and on the dining area
  • Supporting the General Manager in the delivery of perfect burgers & fries, store results and providing a above & beyond experience for your team and customers
  • Creating an awesome working environment where people are happy to come to work and have fun while leading with our Values
  • Ensuring every customer is delighted with their order and their Five Guys experience
  • Ensuring that each shift runs as smoothly as possible and that our values form part of your shift management, thinking about long-term plans
  • Having full ownership of your P&L, which means you will need to drive sales whilst controlling costs
  • Always leading with our values
  • Spotting potential and developing your team to ensure there is a strong talent pipeline

Requirements

  • Ideally, you have at least 1-2 years of management experience in a similar role within a high-volume hospitality or QSR environment
  • You are obsessed with the guest experience and have the numbers to prove it
  • You have experience assisting with P&L management, controlling labour costs, and managing inventory/waste to hit profitability targets
  • You have a proven track record of leading, coaching, and motivating a team
  • You have a solid understanding of Food Safety standards, Health & Safety regulations, and maintaining 5-star hygiene ratings
  • You are available to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
