At Ole & Steen, we're not just any bakery; we have 30 years of Danish heritage behind us. Since opening our doors in 2016 in London Piccadilly, we've been on a mission to bring the art of artisanal baking to the heart of London.

Job Responsibility

  • Running the shift and being responsible for the store in the General Manager’s absence
  • Providing exceptional customer service for our guests and ensuring the team are deployed effectively
  • Act as a role model for your team and be an ambassador for Ole and Steen
  • Driving the achievement of sales and other KPI’s
  • Providing a clear handover during shift changes and ensuring shift reviews
  • Demonstrating a high standard of bakery and personal presentation
  • Assisting in the training and support of team members
  • Opening/closing the store in line with company standards
  • Learning new skills and growing with us

Requirements

  • Friendly and welcoming with an ability to make guests feel at home
  • Lead from the front and inspire teams
  • Experience in hospitality with a drive to perform, positive behaviours and resilience to cope with a fast-paced environment
  • Great communication skills
  • Ability to inspire and engage team

  • To assist the Store Manager in all aspects of the stock control, including receipting transfers, monitoring stock levels, stock preparation and presentation
  • You will demonstrate excellent customer service to all customers and provide customers with expertise information of the product range and it's benefits
  • Be familiar with the shop operations manual, personnel and Health and Safety policies
  • Communicate KPI results to Head Office and Area Manager in the absence of the Store Manager, including commentary on reports
