Step into the role of Assistant Manager at Barclays, where you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future. In this pivotal role you will manage operations within a business area and maintain processes, risk management initiatives, and compliance with relevant regulators. You will take ownership of your work, ensuring it aligns with the relevant rules & regulations, and codes of conduct. You will support Private Bank & Wealth Management (PBWM) operations through daily processing, reporting, controls, and issue resolution while ensuring strong risk and compliance standards. You will collaborate across teams to improve client service delivery, operational efficiency, and implementation of best practices.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage operations within a business area and maintain processes, risk management initiatives, and compliance with relevant regulators
  • Take ownership of your work, ensuring it aligns with the relevant rules & regulations, and codes of conduct
  • Support Private Bank & Wealth Management (PBWM) operations through daily processing, reporting, controls, and issue resolution while ensuring strong risk and compliance standards
  • Collaborate across teams to improve client service delivery, operational efficiency, and implementation of best practices
  • Support with day-to-day Private Bank and Wealth Management initiatives including processing, reviewing, reporting, and issue resolution with regards to accounts, products and services
  • Support the management of the banks client relations to clearly identify their needs and provide a service that meets expectations
  • Collaboration with teams across the bank to align and integrate Private Bank and Wealth Management processes
  • Identification of areas for improvement and providing recommendations for change in Private Bank and Wealth Management processes
  • Development and implementation of Private Bank and Wealth Management procedures and controls to mitigate risks and maintain operational efficiency
  • Development of reports and presentations on Private Bank and Wealth Management performance and communicate findings to internal senior stakeholders
  • Identification of industry trends and developments to implement best practice in Private Bank and Wealth Management Services
  • Participation in projects and initiatives to improve Private Bank and Wealth Management efficiency and effectiveness
  • To perform prescribed activities in a timely manner and to a high standard consistently driving continuous improvement
  • Takes responsibility for end results of a team’s operational processing and activities
  • Escalate breaches of policies / procedure appropriately
