In every restaurant, you’ll find talented Assistant Managers who work with the General Manager and share the responsibility for the success of the restaurant’s results. This includes; leading, inspiring and coaching the teams to ensure the restaurant delivers profitability, and optimises all sales opportunities while delivering an excellent level of customer service. Our Assistant Managers are there to demonstrate leadership, coaching and direction, along with bringing our values to life for their team and our customers.

Job Responsibility

Leading, inspiring and coaching the teams to ensure the restaurant delivers profitability
Optimising all sales opportunities while delivering an excellent level of customer service
Leading from the front and being hands-on, working on the line and on the dining area
Supporting the General Manager in the delivery of perfect burgers & fries, store results and providing an above & beyond experience for team and customers
Creating an awesome working environment where people are happy to come to work and have fun
Ensuring every customer is delighted with their order and their Five Guys experience - dealing with complaints promptly
Ensuring each shift runs as smoothly as possible and that values form part of shift management
Having full ownership of the P&L, driving sales whilst controlling costs
Spotting potential and developing the team to ensure a strong talent pipeline

Requirements

At least 1-2 years of management experience in a similar role within a high-volume hospitality or QSR environment
Obsession with the guest experience and a track record of driving customer satisfaction scores
Experience assisting with P&L management, controlling labour costs, and managing inventory/waste
Proven track record of leading, coaching, and motivating a team
Solid understanding of Food Safety standards, Health & Safety regulations, and maintaining 5-star hygiene ratings
Availability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
