Step into the role of Assistant Manager at Barclays, where you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future. In this pivotal role you will manage operations within a business area and maintain processes, risk management initiatives, and compliance with relevant regulators. You will take ownership of your work, ensuring it aligns with the relevant rules & regulations, and codes of conduct. You will focus support Private Bank & Wealth Management operations through day-to-day processing, reporting, and issue resolution while ensuring strong risk and control standards. You will work closely with internal teams and stakeholders to improve client experience, operational efficiency, and service delivery.
Job Responsibility:
Manage and support end-to-end processing, reviews, reporting, and issue resolution across accounts, products, and services
Support client relationship management by identifying client needs and ensuring service delivery meets expectations
Develop and maintain procedures, controls, and governance processes to mitigate risk and ensure regulatory compliance
Prepare performance reports, MI, and presentations for senior stakeholders
Identify process improvement opportunities and support change initiatives to enhance operational efficiency
Support with day-to-day Private Bank and Wealth Management initiatives including processing, reviewing, reporting, and issue resolution with regards to accounts, products and services
Support the management of the banks client relations to clearly identify their needs and provide a service that meets expectations
Collaboration with teams across the bank to align and integrate Private Bank and Wealth Management processes
Identification of areas for improvement and providing recommendations for change in Private Bank and Wealth Management processes
Development and implementation of Private Bank and Wealth Management procedures and controls to mitigate risks and maintain operational efficiency
Development of reports and presentations on Private Bank and Wealth Management performance and communicate findings to internal senior stakeholders
Identification of industry trends and developments to implement best practice in Private Bank and Wealth Management Services
Participation in projects and initiatives to improve Private Bank and Wealth Management efficiency and effectiveness
To perform prescribed activities in a timely manner and to a high standard consistently driving continuous improvement
Takes responsibility for end results of a team’s operational processing and activities
Escalate breaches of policies / procedure appropriately
Take responsibility for embedding new policies/ procedures adopted due to risk mitigation

Requirements:
Strong knowledge of CDD (Customer Due Diligence), KYC, and regulatory compliance frameworks
Experience in client onboarding, account opening, and lifecycle management within banking or wealth management
Risk and control mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong stakeholder communication, reporting, and operational process improvement experience
In-depth technical knowledge and experience in their assigned area of expertise
Thorough understanding of the underlying principles and concepts within the area of expertise
Ability to lead and supervise a team, guiding and supporting professional development, allocating work requirements and coordinating team resources
