Job Description:

As an assistant manager, you will assist the Store Manager with oversight of the station store operations, including hiring, supervising, bookkeeping, and providing fast and friendly service to customers while maintaining high standards. You will also lead and motivate a team while maintaining safety and security.

Job Responsibility:

Assist the store manager with oversight of the station store operations
help with hiring, supervising, and working with the staff to accomplish daily tasks, bookkeeping and merchandising
maintain high standards and provide fast and friendly service to customers
provide regular and predictable onsite attendance
execute food program
lead a team of employees/management
recruit, interview, and hire
delegation and follow-up
teach and motivate others
plan and organize
communicate plans and ideas
cash-handling and bookkeeping
problem solving
advocate and empathize
ensure safety and security

Requirements:

Flexible availability
ability to stand and/or walk for up to 8 hours
ability to lift and/or carry up to 30 pounds from ground to overhead up to 30 minutes in a shift
occasionally lift and/or carry up to 60 pounds from ground to waist level
push/pull with arms up to a force of 20 pounds
bend at the waist with some twisting up to one hour a shift
grasp, reach and manipulate objects with hands requiring eye-hand coordination
may require climbing a ladder to store and retrieve materials or place and remove signs

Nice to have:

supervisor or management experience

high school/college degree(s)
