Job Description:

Entry level management position responsible for daily operations in the Bar/Lounge. Position directs, trains and assists employees to serve guests and ensures proper standards are followed. Responsibilities include ensuring guest and employee satisfaction while maintaining the operating budget. Accountable for enforcing all legal obligations professionally and consistently. Strengthens the food and beverage/culinary team by assisting in other outlets when needed.

Job Responsibility:

  • Direct, train and assist employees to serve guests
  • Ensure proper standards are followed
  • Ensure guest and employee satisfaction while maintaining operating budget
  • Enforce all legal obligations professionally and consistently
  • Assist in other outlets when needed
  • Supervise daily shift operations
  • Maintain food handling, sanitation and cleanliness standards
  • Operate department equipment
  • Assist floor staff during busy periods
  • Utilize Labor Management System for scheduling and time tracking
  • Report equipment malfunctions
  • Supervise staffing levels to meet guest service and operational needs
  • Interact with guests for feedback
  • Observe service behaviors of employees
  • Train staff on cash handling, credit policies, and liquor control
  • Ensure compliance with all Bar/Lounge policies and procedures
  • Ensure employees have proper supplies, equipment and uniforms
  • Train employees in safety procedures
  • Communicate performance expectations
  • Coach employees regarding performance

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED with 4 years experience in food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area
  • OR 2-year degree from accredited university in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major with 2 years experience in food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area
