Assistant Manager - Saltwater

assisting with site operations to ensure a safe and positive work environment

• Grade 12 plus over four years’ experience in salmon farming, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A post-secondary aquaculture certificate or diploma is preferred.
• Ability to work safely and effectively in challenging environmental conditions.
• Strong background in feed and environmental risk management.
• Demonstrated skills and experience in providing leadership to a team of staff and supporting all aspects of personnel management.
• Good critical thinking, decision-making skills, and sound judgment.
• Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet production deadlines.
• Good communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills (e.g., approachable, empathetic), including the ability to develop effective relationships and successfully resolve conflict situations.
• Proficient computer skills (e.g., Aqua Farmer, word processing, and spreadsheets).
• Highly motivated, with a positive outlook and attitude towards work.

A post-secondary aquaculture certificate or diploma is preferred.
