Job Description:

Assistant Manager for Restaurants at Marriott Executive Apartments Bengaluru UB City. Responsible for assisting in daily restaurant operations, menu planning, maintaining sanitation standards, and improving guest and employee satisfaction. Works in food and beverage service with supervisory responsibilities.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assist in daily supervision restaurant operations
  • Assist with menu planning
  • Maintain sanitation standards
  • Assist servers and hosts on the floor during peak meal periods
  • Improve guest and employee satisfaction
  • Determine training needs and implement plans
  • Handle employee questions and concerns
  • Monitor employee performance
  • Provide feedback to employees
  • Supervise daily shift operations
  • Participate in department meetings
  • Ensure proper supplies, equipment and uniforms for employees
  • Communicate food quality and service level issues
  • Ensure compliance with restaurant policies and standards
  • Monitor alcohol beverage service compliance
  • Achieve or exceed budgeted goals
  • Perform duties of restaurant employees as necessary
  • Open and close restaurant shifts
  • Interact with guests for feedback
  • Supervise staffing levels
  • Handle guest problems and complaints
  • Improve service performance
  • Set positive example for guest relations
  • Review comment cards and guest satisfaction results
  • Meet and greet guests
  • Conduct on-going training initiatives
  • Coach and counsel employees regarding performance
  • Provide information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates
  • Analyze information and evaluate results to solve problems

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 4 years experience in the food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area
  • OR 2-year degree from an accredited university in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major
  • 2 years experience in the food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area
