Assists in the management of the daily functions of the department to provide protection of building assets, employees, visitors, and property. Maintains logs, certifications and documents required by law and Standard Operating Procedures. Assists in the training of staff in established emergency procedures and implements accident and fire prevention procedures. Promotes visitor and employee satisfaction while achieving the operating budget.
Job Responsibility:
Oversees all Security operations including patrol process, emergency response, investigations for all visitor and employee related incidents, shipping and receiving process, electronic key system and manager on duties responsibilities
Assists in appropriately managing a contract security team, ensuring KPI’s in the contract are met
Assists in conducting hazard and risk assessments at the property including quarterly OSHA/SAFETY audits, incident tracking, and hazard abatement process
Complies with applicable federal, state and local law and safety regulations
Maintains logs, certifications and documents required by law and Standard Operating Procedures
Supervises and reviews initial incident investigations
Follows proper key control guidelines
Assists with ensuring awareness, training and implementation of accident prevention, fire prevention and response
Evaluates total patrol efficacy within tour recording system
Follows up on all unusual activities in and around the property
Conducts after action reviews of incidents
Handles complaints, settles disputes, and resolves grievances
Promotes action plans to monitor and control risk
Assists with first aid program
Works closely with Workplace Management & Facilities team
Inspects and critiques performance of Security department
Develops liaison with local law enforcement and emergency services
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED with 5 years of experience in security/loss prevention or a related professional field
Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice or a related major with 1 year of experience in security/loss prevention or a related professional field
Strong problem-solving skills
Must obtain Maryland Guard Card Certification within 30 days of employment with Marriott Headquarters
