Job Description:

Lead, mentor and develop a high-performance marketing communication team to achieve objectives and contribute to the business plan. Collaborate with tenants, IKEA Cheras, and related departments to execute unique campaigns and ensure operational success. Responsibilities include developing marketing strategies, maintaining brand presence, driving retail sales, improving the customer journey, enhancing digital engagement, and handling crisis PR.

Job Responsibility:

  • Develop marketing strategies and overall Marcom plan
  • Efficiently utilise the approved budget to achieve marketing objectives
  • Reinforce brand identity and positioning with ATL, BTL, and TTL strategies
  • Maintain strong market presence with increased brand awareness
  • Draw shopper footfall and encourage retail sales
  • Highlight retailers and establish good network contacts with tenants, government agencies, tourism-related bodies, charities, corporates, etc.
  • Enhance customer journey mapping via events, decorations, wayfinding, and shopper engagement
  • Enhance customer experiences through digital and social media content
  • Ensure effective intra- and inter-departmental communication
  • Develop business analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Drive marketing direction and grow the business with regional support
  • Manage PR aspects of possible crises.

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Public Relations, Retail, Merchandising, Marketing, Communications, or any related field
  • Any related course or professional course attended
  • 5 - 8 years of experience
  • Strong understanding of customer and marketing dynamics and requirements
  • Good understanding of current retails trends and practices, including digital strategies and tactics
  • Effective and eloquent communicator, with proficiency in English and a second language (e.g., Chinese and/or Bahasa Malaysia)
  • Demonstrated ability to increase productivity and adapt methods and approaches
  • Creative as well as analytical
  • Experience in budgeting and forecasting
  • Strong negotiator and team player with excellent analytical skills and business acumen
  • A leader with mentoring skills and willingness to coach
  • Ability to develop rapport with people from all levels and departments
  • Possess excellent presentation skills, ability to inspire action and drive towards goals.
