Job Description:

The Assistant Manager, Key Account Wholesale drives growth by managing key wholesale accounts through strategic planning and execution. The role focuses on negotiating trade terms, aligning sell-in and sell-through processes, monitoring KPIs, and ensuring reliable supply. Acting as an internal ambassador, this position coordinates cross-functional collaboration and ensures compliance with trade agreements while proactively addressing account needs and market dynamics.

Job Responsibility:

  • Negotiate and reinforce adidas trade terms with assigned accounts
  • Assist the implementation of the Key Account Plans and ensure quarterly reviews are properly set
  • Represent the Key Account team internally as an 'ambassador' towards all functions and manage all interfaces
  • Frequently address Key Account requirements across functions and proactively coordinate/ facilitate meetings with other functions and accounts
  • Assist in the development of account strategies, formalization by strategic account plans and get sign-off by the director superior
  • Sell-in and agree on sell-through support
  • Formalize specific Account’s Marketing Plans
  • Proactively lead the alignment of the sell in/ out process across internal functions for the Key Account team
  • Continue to monitor sell-thru and the order backlog as well as reliable and cost-efficiency supply for the account
  • Conduct and share sell thru information from account
  • Monitor the progress of assigned accounts KPls to ensure target achievement
  • Ensure customer compliance with trade agreements (i.e. trade terms)
  • Monitor report customer & competitors activities and propose/initiate/take action

Requirements:

  • 3–6 years of experience in Key Account Management, Wholesale, or Sales within the retail or sportswear industry
  • Proven track record in managing large accounts
  • Strong understanding of wholesale business models, trade terms, and retail dynamics
  • Proficiency in sales planning, forecasting, and KPI monitoring
  • Experience in developing and executing strategic account plans
  • Familiarity with sell-in and sell-through processes, marketing plan formalization, and supply chain coordination
  • Competent in data analysis and reporting (Excel, BI tools)
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills to manage internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong relationship-building and ability to act as an ambassador across functions
