The Assistant Manager of International Marketing is responsible for supporting the UK, Europe and the Middle East markets. With ILIA’s exciting global expansion plans to scale the business, the Assistant Manager, International Marketing will help to ensure launch plans and evergreen support are flawlessly executed across our International retailers, with a keen eye for detail and consistency. Cross functional collaboration and strong communication skills will be key, as this individual partners closely with internal teams (Sales, Operations Creative, PR, Influencer, Social) to develop and execute locally relevant marketing campaigns as well as with International retail partners (Sephora, Space NK and Specialty Accounts).
Job Responsibility:
Collaborate with the International Marketing Director to prioritize key business initiatives related to new product launches and core campaigns
Work with PR, Influencer, Sales, Social, Creative, and Operations teams to help execute 360 local marketing campaigns for new launches and evergreen focuses tailored to each market whilst driving brand consistency
Maintain the day-to-day of the International marketing calendar to track all activations, ensuring that updates reflect the latest information
Oversee the asset requirements for retail partners: product pages, emails, site materials, in-store tools, digital campaigns, and social media content
Manage the submission of creative requests and asset checklists for all retail needs across International retailer channels on time and to spec and oversee dissemination of assets and asset uploads to retailer platforms e.g. Gaia
Outline key creative requirements for international marketing campaigns and coordinate with the creative team for timely deliverables
Oversee retailer product registration, set-up forms and systems, ensuring retailers have the necessary information and resources for new launches. Collaborate with the appropriate cross functional teams (i.e: Sales, PD, Ops, Copy) to maintain accuracy and completeness
Oversee and coordinate all retailer and trade product requests by partnering with Operations to secure product samples and ensure timely delivery, while maintaining clear communication with retailers throughout the process
Partner with North America Retail Marketing counterpart to ensure we are working in lockstep to amplify across the globe with consistency
Collaborate on all launch recap presentations for international marketing activations and share out with wider teams
Continuously audit retailer product pages and optimize where necessary
Manage product review programs (for both core and newness) partnering with both internal teams (operations, sales, marketing and creative) and external teams at third party review companies
Support the International Marketing Director to build presentations for internal and external meetings (market overviews and recaps, business review meetings and misc. meetings)
Support the International Marketing Director in new process and toolkit rollouts as the brand expands globally
Identify new growth opportunities to partner with key retail partners on any pilot/test programs
Attend International retailer/vendor events as brand representative, sharing key insights and opportunities
Remain up to date on market trends, launches and events, attending stores regularly and build monthly competitor report sharing key findings with the wider teams
Act as the liaison between field teams and marketing, filtering requests and ensuring access to necessary launch tools
Assist in creating, sourcing, and distributing marketing, education, and sales tools for in-store activations, events and major retailer events like trade shows
Lead monthly touch base with key field team to capture ongoing 360 feedback and insights and recommend learnings to action
Partner with the creative, education and sales team to build local event guidelines and ensure they are upheld
Requirements:
At least 3+ years of relevant work experience (prior beauty experience required and Sephora/Space NK experience is a plus)
A passion for ILIA’s brand ethos and team player
Strong organisational skills, with the ability to efficiently manage, prioritise and balance multiple projects across multiple markets
Strong entrepreneurial spirit with the agility to navigate a fast-paced, rapidly evolving market environment
Excellent communication and presentation skills including creating and delivering compelling presentations
High attention to detail and follow-through is a must
Proficient in Google Suite: Google Slides, Sheets and Docs
Flexibility to work across different time zones with the Global team in the US and retail partners across the globe
Proven ability to work with international teams and retailers is a plus
Ability to travel up to 15% of the time
