The Ferny Grove Tavern is looking for a high-energy, floor-focused Assistant Manager who lives for the buzz of a packed house and a high-performing team. 'The Ferny' is a total engine room. Between our bustling family bistro, our premier gaming lounge, and a public bar that is always pumping, there is never a dull moment. We are looking for a leader who thrives in the thick of the action, someone who loves being on the floor, connecting with our regulars, and keeping the standards sky-high across every department.

Job Responsibility

  • Get to know the locals so well they think you’re part of the crew
  • Support the Publican to keep the pub running smoothly, safely, and with a great vibe
  • Learn the ropes of being a Publican while leading a team of absolute hospo legends
  • Handle hiccups before they turn into headaches
  • Bring the energy, the service, and the smiles every single shift

Requirements

  • Manual handling and lifting as part of regular duties (e.g. moving stock, kegs, and deliveries)
  • Current RSA/RSG, RMLV and Approved Managers Licence as per state requirements
  • Ability to perform physical tasks safely and efficiently
