Job Description

Assists in managing engineering operations, budgets, and facilities maintenance. Focus on safety, security, asset protection, and regulatory compliance. Supports energy conservation efforts, service contract management, and preventive maintenance planning. Builds customer and vendor relationships while maintaining property standards and delivering exceptional customer service.

Job Responsibility

  • Assists with managing the physical plant including equipment, refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, water treatment and electrical systems
  • ensures regulatory compliance to facility regulations and safety standards
  • manages heat, light, and power
  • recommends best methods for energy conservation
  • develops specifications and requirements for service contracts
  • administers contracts for building needs
  • oversees preventive maintenance and repair work orders
  • manages maintenance of grounds, guestrooms, public spaces, restaurants, property vehicles, and recreational facilities
  • develops and executes a long-term preventative maintenance plan
  • coordinates with contractors for bids and construction
  • builds positive relationships with external customers and vendors
  • ensures fire crew has a complete understanding of procedures and equipment
  • performs property inspections
  • identifies and arranges additional services
  • selects and orders new equipment and furnishings
  • manages parts and equipment inventory
  • ensures building licenses and certifications are current
  • maintains property life safety systems
  • displays leadership in guest hospitality
  • reviews feedback to improve guest satisfaction

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2 years experience in engineering and maintenance or related professional area
  • technical training in HVAC-R/electrical/plumbing
  • 2-year degree from an accredited university in Building and Construction, Engineering, Mechanics, or related major
  • no experience required
