Job Description:

Assists in carrying out the daily activities of the Human Resource Office including recruitment, total compensation, and training and development. Additionally, assists in delivering HR services that meet or exceed the needs of employees and enable business success; as well as ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and operating procedures.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assisting in managing recruitment and hiring process
  • Assisting in administering and educating employee benefits
  • Assisting in managing employee development
  • Assisting in maintaining employee relations
  • Assisting in managing legal and compliance practices
  • Interviewing and hiring Human Resource employee team members
  • Establishing and maintaining contact with external recruitment sources
  • Attending job fairs
  • Networking with local organizations
  • Monitoring candidate identification and selection process
  • Performing quality control on candidate identification/selection
  • Working with unemployment services provider
  • Assisting with unemployment claim activity reports
  • Attending unemployment hearings
  • Assisting with departmental orientation program
  • Ensuring employees are cross-trained
  • Assisting with coordination and facilitation of new hire orientation program
  • Ensuring attendance by all new hires in training programs
  • Maintaining effective employee communication channels
  • Reviewing progressive discipline documentation
  • Utilizing open door policy for employee concerns
  • Communicating performance expectations
  • Ensuring employee files contain required employment paperwork
  • Ensuring compliance with procedure for accessing employee files
  • Ensuring medical records are maintained securely
  • Facilitating drug testing process
  • Communicating property rules and regulations
  • Ensuring safety and security policies are communicated
  • Assisting with periodic claims reviews
  • Managing Workers Compensation claims

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2 years experience in human resources, management operations, or related professional area
  • OR 2-year degree from an accredited university in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related major with no work experience required
