Job Description

Hyatt Centric Murano Venice is looking for a proactive and hands-on Maintenance Assistant Manager to support the Engineering function and ensure the efficient operation of all hotel facilities. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of previous experience in a similar role within a hotel environment, strong technical skills, and a collaborative mindset.

Job Responsibility

  • Supervise maintenance and engineering activities in line with company standards
  • Plan and monitor the preventive maintenance program
  • Coordinate repair works across guest rooms, public and back-of-house areas
  • Monitor plant systems, equipment, and fire & life safety systems
  • Review technical reports and take corrective action in coordination with the Director of Engineering
  • Manage inventory, technical materials, and consumption levels
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations and safety standards
  • Collaborate with other departments to support operational efficiency and guest satisfaction
  • Support vendor management, procurement processes, and approval of technical requests
  • Ensure high service standards, effectively handling requests and complaints
  • Promote a collaborative team environment across departments
  • Assist in the preparation of the Engineering budget and monitor costs
  • Optimize resource utilization in line with financial objectives
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies and reporting procedures
  • Supervise the Engineering team, supporting training, development, and performance reviews
