Job Description

The Assistant Aesthetic Manager is responsible for maintaining and/or improving the aesthetic aspects of the property which includes interior and exterior finishes, including but not limited to walls, ceilings, floors, furniture, fixtures. window treatments, signage, landscaping, parking lot upkeep, etc. This position directly oversees the guest room preventive maintenance program.

Job Responsibility

  • Responsible for recruiting, interviewing, training, coaching, discipline and conducting performance appraisals for direct reports
  • Responsible for creating schedules and approving employees’ time, time off and shift changes
  • Assign, train, support and direct the staff to carry out the basic operation of their roles
  • Coach, develop and provide feedback to the staff for the continued growth in their current and future positions
  • Organize and oversee the guestroom preventive maintenance program, including scheduling and assigning work, keeping systems updated, and improving efficiency
  • Routinely inspect the aesthetic repairs, projects, and the work that is being done to ensure quality
  • Properly utilize maintenance work order system to distribute and track work
  • Maintain/create systems to ensure enough completed work is inspected to ensure quality
  • Responds to guest requests and resolves their needs efficiently
  • Responsible for correct use of office equipment, EMS systems and Life Safety Systems

Requirements

  • Two years of related experience (i.e., Construction, project management, punch out, commercial building maintenance, etc.) required
  • One year supervisory experience required
  • Able to demonstrate an understanding of building finishes and related fields of service
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications and construction documents
  • Good computer skills. Proficient in Microsoft products
  • Excel and Outlook required
  • Texas Driver’s License with good driving record required
  • Must be 21+ years old due to vehicle insurance requirements

Nice to have

  • Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Teams experience desirable
  • Knowledge and use of a Service Ticketing system preferred. HotSOS experience desirable

  • Assist with performance management of Maintenance techs by providing both positive and corrective feedback, recognizing the team with Employee of the Month and on-the-spot recognition, and recommending coaching and disciplinary actions
