Assistant lecturers may publish research papers and present their work at conferences, but the primary research activity will be directed to completing their Masters or doctoral requirements. They will be able to teach units, develop teaching materials but are normally not required to develop curriculum. Assistant Lecturers are full members of their department and should be starting to take on limited administrative tasks.

Requirements:
Possession of a Bachelor's degree in medical imaging science or medical radiation sciences obtained from an accredited university, with a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.37 or Weighted Average Mean (WAM) of 80%
Full registration granted by the Radiation Health Board of Fiji and an actively maintained annual practicing certificate issued by the Fiji Society of Medical Imaging Technologists
A minimum of three years of post-internship full-time equivalent clinical experience in the following domains: general radiography, operating theatre and accident and emergency radiography, Computed Tomography imaging, Fluoroscopy, and fundamental ultrasound techniques
Nice to have:
Demonstration of a proactive attitude toward engaging in research and fulfilling teaching responsibilities
Active pursuit or successful completion of a Master's degree or doctoral programme
