Job Description:

This position involves managing laundry procedures, including inventory control, equipment monitoring, employee training, and ensuring overall efficiency. Responsibilities include supporting team goals, maintaining safety standards, and enhancing organizational productivity while fostering a professional and inclusive workplace environment.

Job Responsibility:

Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees
report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries
complete safety training and certifications
ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards
respond appropriately to the concerns of employees
perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.

Requirements:

Complete inventory of uniforms and linens
conduct monthly inventory of laundry supplies
report faulty equipment, maintenance needs, and safety hazards to manager/supervisor
train employees on all laundry procedures, including safety procedures and equipment operation
verify that laundry requests are completed for each department as needed
operate and monitor washing, dry cleaning, and drying machinery
inspect linens and terry for damage
follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures
ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional
maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
develop and maintain positive working relationships with others
support team to reach common goals
listen and respond appropriately to employee concerns
identify, recommend, develop, and implement new ways to increase operational efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and/or cost-savings
visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines to identify defects
stand, sit, or walk for an extended period
move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than 25 pounds
move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces
move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces.

Nice to have:

At least 1 year of related work experience
at least 1 year of supervisory experience
high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
