Job Responsibility:
Lead daily prep and line execution to deliver food that consistently meets Ggiata standards, while upholding a clean, organized, and food-safe kitchen environment
Support food safety and compliance by completing temperature checks, labeling, logs, FIFO rotation, sanitation routines, and equipment cleanliness
Train and coach BOH team members in real time, reinforcing expectations, safety practices, and kitchen standards while modeling professionalism and hospitality
Assist with inventory counts, portion control, waste tracking, par levels, and delivery organization to support food cost goals
Monitor product quality and freshness, taste items daily, and escalate quality or operational concerns promptly
Communicate proactively with FOH, the Kitchen Manager, and the General Manager to support smooth service and resolve issues quickly
Step into leadership during peak shifts or in the absence of the Kitchen Manager, helping maintain accountability, structure, and a positive team culture
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Minimum 1-2 years of restaurant leadership experience
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Comfortable navigating changing priorities and fast-paced environments
Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and climb stairs for extended periods
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and carry items at least 10 feet
Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays
Familiarity with operational systems and basic equipment maintenance
