Job Description

Assistant Key Account Manager role for Watsons in Malaysia, responsible for executing customer strategy, achieving sales targets, and building relationships to increase brand market share.

Job Responsibility

  • Execute with our customers the customer strategy and customer business plan
  • Responsible for the achievement of Sales (NIV and Turnover), Market Share and Debtor days for the Unilever categories as well as for the implementation and the optimization of the promotional plan and category strategies within the customer
  • To increase our brands market share at point-of-sales level by building excellent business relationships at store level, managing the store ordering process and ensuring high quality in-store presence of our brands
  • Develops the customer strategic business plan for his/her respective categories and customers. Work out a joint customer business plan for his/her respective categories and customers
  • Works in close collaboration with the cross functional team for the category and channel input, and with customer marketing and brand teams for the specific banner/channel plan
  • Develops optimal integrated promo plan and manage promo investments
  • Manages promo investment with key retailer
  • Maintain relationship with key retailer
  • Deliver the agreed plan, follow-up achievement of counterparts set in the agreement
  • Consistent monthly and quarterly business reviews with key retailer
  • Data churning and analysis to provide accurate business requirements for business review presentation
  • Closes the deal with key retailer by negotiating according to the Unilever strategy on his/her categories
  • Monitors Customer Performance by tracking customer contribution and market share for major categories
  • Acts as active ambassador of Unilever at the customer and of the customer at Unilever
  • Participates actively to the account managers’ meetings, looking at the best solution for the business
  • Assisting in a day-to-day job

Requirements

  • Candidate must possess at least Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in any field
  • Minimum 2 - 3 years’ work experience relevant to Account Management or Field Sales in FMCG industry
  • Work experience in managing Key retailer is preferable
  • Demonstrate self-driven, analytical, able to build relationship, and result oriented
  • Strong communication and negotiation skill
  • Proven track record of delivery topline and bottom-line results
  • Proven track record of managing multiple stakeholders and delivering operational excellence

Nice to have

  • Pharmacy Key Account experience is an advantage
  • Fluency in Mandarin Language is an advantage
