We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Investment Manager to join our team in Dublin. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing full support and assistance to our investment Managers.
Job Responsibility:
Executes trades on instruction from Investment Manager, where appropriate
Completes all work according to investment management procedures and standards, collates and verifies the accuracy of information and work provided
Assists in preparation of review and new client meeting documentation
Assist in fund selection, attend and organise fund manager meetings and select best in class funds to complement the existing fund composition
Assist in the maintenance and construction of multi asset and multi-currency model portfolios and assist in the portfolio construction and rebalancing process
There is limited client interaction at this stage, but any interaction should be maintained with RBC Brewin Dolphin’s conduct and professionalism standards
Maintain historical portfolio performance records and produce quarterly investment packs for internal and external users
Participate in and minute committee meetings
Supports business development through correct application of client processes and procedures
Assists team members as required and works effectively with colleagues
Understands and complies with all CBI/regulatory regulations and principles applying to an investment management role and adheres to Conduct Risk standards and all other Brewin Dolphin Policies and Procedures
Understands RBC BD Values and Behaviours (RBC Blueprint) and consistently demonstrates them through their working practices and interactions with clients and colleagues
Challenges existing processes and procedures to improve the client experience
Always acts with integrity to achieve a fair client outcome, despite any challenges
Takes on challenges where they know they can contribute to the success of a task / project
Requirements:
Working towards QFA qualification as minimum
Proven industry experience in Investment Management Support role or similar
Ability to prioritise workload and identify when they need support to achieve goals
Gaining an understanding of portfolio management, client advice processes and industry knowledge
Maintains up to date knowledge of the market and regulation changes through Continuous Professional development (CPD)
