Job Responsibility:
Manage the day-to-day operations of the service department to ensure efficiency, productivity, and adherence to company standards
Supervise and actively train service staff, providing mentorship and technical support to ensure the delivery of excellent customer service
Oversee the service writing processes, guaranteeing accurate and thorough documentation of all services provided and parts utilized
Coordinate and monitor vehicle maintenance schedules and manage repair workflows effectively to maximize technician productivity
Monitor equipment diagnostics and repair processes to ensure timely and accurate solutions for customers
Maintain a safe, organized, and compliant work environment for all staff, upholding company and industry standards
Utilize MS Office and Excel to track metrics, manage documentation, and communicate departmental performance
Requirements:
A minimum 8+ years of HVAC field experience as a commercial HVAC Service Technician or similar position
Proven experience in service management or a similar supervisory role within the commercial HVAC industry (Assistant Manager, Service Lead, Dispatch Supervisor, etc.) a huge plus
Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC equipment maintenance, diagnostics, and repair processes
Excellent MS Office and Excel experience is required for reporting and data management
Excellent communication skills to interact effectively and professionally with customers, senior management, and team members
Ability to effectively lead, motivate, and develop a team of technical professionals
Experience with service writing software is preferred
Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail
