Job Description:

The Assistant Human Resources Manager at Four Points by Sheraton Ahmedabad will assist in the daily activities of the HR office including recruitment, total compensation, training, and development. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with applicable laws and procedures, recruiting and hiring processes, employee benefits administration, training coordination, maintaining employee relations, managing legal and compliance practices, and supporting overall employee well-being and development. The position emphasizes delivering HR services that meet or exceed employee needs and supporting business success.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assists in the interviewing and hiring of Human Resource employee team members with the appropriate skills
  • assists in establishing and maintaining contact with external recruitment sources
  • attends job fairs and ensures documentation of outreach efforts
  • networks with local organizations to source candidates
  • assists in monitoring candidate identification and selection process
  • performs quality control on candidate identification/selection
  • works with the unemployment services provider to respond to unemployment claims
  • assists with departmental orientation program for employees
  • ensures employees are cross-trained
  • assists with coordination and facilitation of new hire orientation program
  • ensures attendance by all new hires in training programs
  • assists in maintaining effective employee communication channels
  • reviews progressive discipline documentation for accuracy
  • utilizes an open-door policy to address employee concerns
  • partners with Loss Prevention to conduct accident investigations
  • assists with ensuring compliance with employee documentation and safety policies

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2 years experience in the human resources, management operations, or related professional area
  • 2-year degree from an accredited university in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related major
  • no work experience required
