An organized and motivated Assistant Housekeeping Manager to oversee our cleaning operations, including managing a team of housekeepers and vendors. The Assistant Housekeeping Manager will partner with our in-market and local management teams to ensure our homes are cleaned to AvantStay’s high guest experience standards, with careful consideration of cost efficiencies and compliance. This person is passionate about hospitality and providing guests with an unforgettable experience.
Job Responsibility:
Assist the Housekeeping Manager in creating cleaning assignments to ensure proper coverage and completion of regularly scheduled projects
Conduct daily inspections of guest rooms to ensure standards are met
Ensure timing of cleanings meet designated guidelines
Conduct housekeeping training for new room attendants
Assist the Housekeeping Manager in conducting monthly linen inventory
Identify housekeeping issues and provide feedback to vendors
Report maintenance deficiencies to ensure they are addressed promptly
Support the Central Operations and local teams with escalated guest concerns by responding to emails, calls and internal communications
Occasional need to perform housekeeping and maintenance duties such as cleaning rooms and public areas as well as laundry duties
Other projects and duties as assigned.
Requirements:
2+ years of hospitality/housekeeping experience
Basic skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint)
Ability and availability to work weekends, holidays, and with an overall flexible work schedule to fit current business needs
Reliable car, a valid driver’s license and residence within short distance of market properties
Ability to spend a majority of working time standing, walking, and driving to properties
Ability to regularly bend at the waist, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, stoop, and occasionally push, pull and lift more than 25 lbs.
Excellent self-management skills, and the ability to prioritize and deliver work to meet tight deadlines and work in a fast paced environment

Business needs dictate hands-on, in-market presence.
Nice to have:
Vacation rental industry experience
Experience in Hospitality and/or Real Estate and Accredited Residential Manager (ARM) designation are a plus.
What we offer:
Annual starting salary of $55,000 - $60,000 + performance bonus (dependent on your skills and experience)
