Job Description

The Assistant Housekeeping Manager ensures our guest accommodation and all areas front and back of house are maintained in a spotless condition at all times. They assume a very 'hands on' management of the day to day operation of the Housekeeping Department by establishing and controlling planned cleaning schedules, and working closely with the Front Office to ensure that guest accommodations are ready in a timely manner to Four Seasons standards. They assist Supervisors with training and supervision of Housekeeping staff, and assume responsibility for the Department in the absence of the Director of Housekeeping.

Job Responsibility

  • Ensure guest accommodation and all areas front and back of house are maintained in a spotless condition
  • Assume hands-on management of day to day operation of Housekeeping Department
  • Establish and control planned cleaning schedules
  • Work closely with Front Office to ensure guest accommodations are ready in a timely manner to Four Seasons standards
  • Assist Supervisors with training and supervision of Housekeeping staff
  • Assume responsibility for the Department in the absence of the Director of Housekeeping

Requirements

  • Two years experience in a supervisory role in Rooms division
  • College degree or diploma preferably specializing in Hotel management or equivalent experience
  • Ability to work all shifts, weekends and holidays
  • Authorization to work in the United States of America
  • Excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a multicultural team
  • Solid business acumen and a passion for service
  • Strong training and supervisory skills
  • Good written and spoken English skills
  • Computer proficiency with MS Excel and Word
  • Opera, HotSOS and REX systems preferred
  • Spoken Spanish will be an advantage
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Strong work ethic

  • Ability to provide feedback to both employees and management
