Job Description:

We’re seeking a proactive and detail‑driven Assistant Housekeeping Manager to support our housekeeping operations on a permanent basis. In this hands‑on leadership role, you’ll help ensure our guest rooms and public areas are impeccably maintained, while motivating and guiding a dedicated housekeeping team. This position requires strong organisational skills, excellent communication, and the ability to lead by example in a fast‑paced environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assist in the daily supervision of the housekeeping team, ensuring all rooms and public spaces meet high cleanliness and presentation standards
  • Support the Housekeeping Manager in scheduling, training, and performance management
  • Conduct regular inspections of rooms, corridors, and public areas to ensure quality and consistency
  • Help maintain stock levels of cleaning supplies, linens, and equipment, ensuring accurate ordering and inventory control
  • Address guest enquiries or housekeeping‑related concerns promptly and professionally
  • Coordinate with maintenance, front office, and other departments to ensure smooth daily operations
  • Uphold all health, safety, and hygiene policies, ensuring the team follows best practices at all times
  • Step in to carry out cleaning duties when required to support team efficiency and service continuity

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in housekeeping supervision or a senior housekeeping role within hospitality
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and support a diverse team
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards
  • Positive, approachable, and professional attitude
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and bank holidays
  • Physical stamina to meet the demands of a hands‑on operational environment
