We’re seeking a proactive and detail‑driven Assistant Housekeeping Manager to support our housekeeping operations on a permanent basis. In this hands‑on leadership role, you’ll help ensure our guest rooms and public areas are impeccably maintained, while motivating and guiding a dedicated housekeeping team. This position requires strong organisational skills, excellent communication, and the ability to lead by example in a fast‑paced environment.
Job Responsibility:
Assist in the daily supervision of the housekeeping team, ensuring all rooms and public spaces meet high cleanliness and presentation standards
Support the Housekeeping Manager in scheduling, training, and performance management
Conduct regular inspections of rooms, corridors, and public areas to ensure quality and consistency
Help maintain stock levels of cleaning supplies, linens, and equipment, ensuring accurate ordering and inventory control
Address guest enquiries or housekeeping‑related concerns promptly and professionally
Coordinate with maintenance, front office, and other departments to ensure smooth daily operations
Uphold all health, safety, and hygiene policies, ensuring the team follows best practices at all times
Step in to carry out cleaning duties when required to support team efficiency and service continuity
Requirements:
Previous experience in housekeeping supervision or a senior housekeeping role within hospitality
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and support a diverse team
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards
Positive, approachable, and professional attitude
Good communication and organisational skills
Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities
Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and bank holidays
Physical stamina to meet the demands of a hands‑on operational environment
