Job Description

easyHotel has an exciting opportunity for an (Junior) Assistant Hotel Manager to join the team based in their Maastricht hotel. You will work on a full time, permanent basis and in return you will receive a highly competitive salary. As our Assistant Hotel Manager you will be responsible for the engagement & development of the hotel team, making sure they deliver a great experience for our guests. The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide leadership and act as the deputy in the absence of the Hotel Manager
  • Build awareness of the hotel and brand in the local community
  • Reduce out of order rooms by working closely with other colleagues
  • Engaging and developing the team to drive performance
  • Support the Hotel Manager with team rotas and other administrative tasks
  • Delivering high standard rooms by working closely with housekeeping
  • Delivering cost savings in your hotel
  • Liaising with support functions to be commercially aware and understanding hotel initiatives

  • Overseeing each department of the Chateau – from housekeeping in the guest bedrooms to mealtimes in the restaurant
  • Building relationships and dealing with escalated queries or issues
  • Coming up with incentives and social events for the staff
  • Motivating staff to deliver the highest possible standards for all departments
  • Ensuring everything runs smoothly as well as adhering to French work regulations
  • Being approachable for staff questions and issues but remain fair and professional in more complex situations
  • Helping to strip and re-make beds or washing some pots in the kitchen when required
