As a Healthcare Assistant, you'll play a vital role in supporting our nursing teams and delivering compassionate, individualised patient care. Job Responsibility

  • Providing compassionate, person-centred care and communicating with kindness
  • Supporting patients with personal care needs, including catheter care and continence management
  • Assisting with nutrition and hydration to promote patient wellbeing
  • Delivering effective pressure area care
  • Collecting routine specimens safely and accurately
  • Carrying out safe moving and handling practices
  • Completing essential documentation such as food and fluid charts and outcome sheets
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organised clinical environment
  • Delivering care in line with risk assessments and individual care plans
  • Ensuring clinical rooms are fully stocked with the correct forms and patient information
  • Preparing medical notes to support the smooth running of clinics

Requirements

  • GCSE A*-D in English Language or equivalent
  • GCSE A*-D in Mathematics or equivalent
  • Able to demonstrate literacy and numeracy skills at interview assessment
  • Evidence of ability to work as a member of a team
  • Experience of time management and prioritising work

Nice to have

  • Level 2 in Health & Social care (NVQ, QCF, RQF)
  • Level 2 NVQ in Healthcare Health & Social Care or Level 2 QCF Diploma in Clinical Healthcare support
  • Prior experience of providing care in a healthcare or social setting
