Assistant Headteacher role at The Kassia Academy, an Alternative Provision Academy supporting children with social, emotional, and mental health needs. The role contributes directly to transforming the lives of vulnerable young people.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead on Behaviour, Attendance, Personal Development and Wellbeing across the Academy
  • Strategic and operational responsibility for Behaviour culture and relational practice
  • Strategic and operational responsibility for Personal Development and Alternative Provision
  • Strategic and operational responsibility for Outdoor Education
  • Strategic and operational responsibility for Careers
  • Strategic and operational responsibility for Attendance
  • Strategic and operational responsibility for Rewards, recognition and wellbeing

Requirements:

  • Skilled and highly motivated Assistant Headteacher with experience in SEN
  • Proven ability to engage the most disengaged learners
  • Proven ability to lead colleagues with clarity, empathy and high expectations
  • Strong track record of delivering excellence
  • Experience of working with complex needs and challenging behaviour
  • Willingness to undertake an enhanced DBS check
  • Ability to provide suitable references
  • Ability to provide evidence of qualifications
