Assistant Headteacher - Achievement

• Lead the strategic development and operational implementation of achievement across the academy
• Ensure strong and sustained academic outcomes at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
• Ensure high expectations and challenge for all learners
• Ensure effective assessment systems that inform teaching and accelerate progress
• Ensure closing of gaps between pupil groups through high-quality teaching and targeted support
• Ensure clear accountability structures that empower middle leaders
• Ensure raising standards strategies that are precise, coherent and impactful

• Has a strong track record of improving attainment and progress
• Understands how to translate curriculum intent into consistent classroom impact
• Uses data intelligently to drive improvement
• Builds strong relationships with middle leaders and supports their development
• Holds high expectations for all learners, particularly disadvantaged and SEND pupils
• Is aligned with a values-driven, community-centred ethos
• Experience of leading raising standards strategies at whole-school or faculty level is essential
• NPQSL or equitable qualifications is desirable but not essential
