Job Description:

As an Assistant Housekeeping Manager you will be responsible of leading the housekeeping team and being a key member of the Hotel’s Management team. You will display a proactive and innovative approach to skill development and enhancement in your team while accurately assessing needs of the business in terms of staffing and ensure that a high standard of cleanliness is maintained and monitored throughout the hotel. Finally, you will co-ordinate constructively with both reception and reservations so that the day-to-day operational requirements are successfully delivered. You’ll play a crucial role in ensuring that guests have a first class enjoyable and comfortable stay.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead the housekeeping team and be a key member of the Hotel’s Management team
  • Display a proactive and innovative approach to skill development and enhancement in your team
  • Accurately assess needs of the business in terms of staffing
  • Ensure that a high standard of cleanliness is maintained and monitored throughout the hotel
  • Co-ordinate constructively with both reception and reservations so that the day-to-day operational requirements are successfully delivered
  • Ensure that guests have a first class enjoyable and comfortable stay

Requirements:

  • Leadership skills: strong leadership skills to effectively recruit, manage and motivate the housekeeping staff
  • Attention to detail: detail-oriented and possess a keen eye for cleanliness and maintenance
  • Budget management skills: strong budget management skills to manage expenses and ensure the department operates within the budget
  • Knowledge of cleaning equipment and standards: knowledge of cleaning equipment, products, and cleaning techniques, as well as the ability to train and oversee staff to ensure proper cleaning techniques
