Job Description:

Play an important role in helping Buckinghamshire Council recover costs where damage has been caused to the highway network by road traffic collisions. Support the investigation and processing of Green Claims following highway damage incidents. Gather evidence, maintain accurate records, prepare documentation and liaise with insurers, contractors and enforcement partners to bring claims to resolution.

Job Responsibility:

  • Organise and complete allocated workloads within agreed deadlines
  • Research and gather information to support claims and investigations
  • Help identify compliance or legal issues, escalating where necessary
  • Collate, check and process evidence using council systems and procedures
  • Maintain clear and accurate digital and written records
  • Support the preparation of reports, letters and other documentation
  • Liaise professionally with insurance companies, contractors and Thames Valley Police
  • Provide clear, accurate advice to internal and external customers
  • Assist with preparing documentation for inquiries or court proceedings
  • Attend site visits (with support) to collect evidence and assess highway damage
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the wider team
