Job Description

This role is in support of Cencora's global logistics and storage services marketed through our World Courier business. The primary responsibilities for the role are to lead the global consolidated month end reporting for World Courier as well as reporting for the corporate entities, develop and oversee key relationships within the global finance team, across senior finance leaders in World Courier and with the parent company. The role will report to the Global Finance Controller, act as the deputy on Global Finance matters and provide support for improvement and change within Global Finance. SAP is the primary accounting system which will be used frequently as well as Hyperion oversight. The role will be based in London offices on a hybrid basis.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead the global consolidated month end reporting for World Courier as well as reporting for the corporate entities
  • Develop and oversee key relationships within the global finance team, across senior finance leaders in World Courier and with the parent company
  • Report to the Global Finance Controller, act as the deputy on Global Finance matters and provide support for improvement and change within Global Finance
  • Responsible for group consolidation and reporting across multiple entities (under US GAAP)
  • Monthly accounting and oversight for the Central Management and corporate entities
  • Overseeing completion and reviewing monthly management accounts including agreeing and accounting for inter-company charges and global intercompany eliminations
  • Oversight of various monthly accounting processes and Shared services
  • Liaising with various global functions such as Treasury, Tax, Internal controls and Internal Audit
  • Ensuring an accurate balance sheet close and reconciliations
  • Review of quarterly P&L reporting and balance sheet reconciliations for SOX purposes
  • Liaising with global auditors quarterly and statutory auditors during year end audits
  • Assisting with production of UK statutory accounts
  • Driving continuous improvements globally in the ERP systems and other related controls and processes
  • Supporting and advising in global accounting related projects
  • Deputise for the FC on occasions for month end reporting and other Global finance related matters

Requirements

  • Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACA) with experience of 5+ years PQE
  • Experienced in accounting systems, preferably SAP or similar ERP and competent with Excel
  • Experience of accounting in a multi-currency environment, internal controls and statutory audits
  • Proactive, strong communicator, Hands on, self-starter, with attention to detail, used to tight reporting deadlines
  • Organised and structured yet and adaptable to change
  • Collaborative team player looking to continuously improve and develop

Nice to have

Knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS UK adoption would be beneficial
