We are looking for an experienced Assistant General Manager to join the team at the Burrell Collection. Nestled within the beautiful surroundings of Pollok Country Park, The Burrell Collection is home to one of the finest art collections ever assembled by a single individual, with over 9,000 objects gifted by Sir William Burrell. Our catering operation reflects the same sense of quality and experience. The Burrell Restaurant offers a range of fresh, seasonal dishes made using the finest Scottish ingredients, from hearty family favourites to lighter, healthy options and a dedicated children’s menu. In our café and espresso bar visitors can enjoy barista-made drinks, grab-and-go snacks and sweet treats, all designed to be enjoyed indoors or out on the terrace overlooking the park when the weather allows.
Job Responsibility
Support the daily operation of the site alongside the General Manager
Help lead and structure the team to deliver high product and service standards
Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication
Ensure an excellent customer experience across front and back of house
Support initiatives to improve sales and service performance
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
Support team performance through coaching, training, and feedback
Ensure all Food Safety and Health & Safety standards are met
Requirements
An experienced Assistant General Manager or strong Deputy Manager
Background in high-volume and/or multi-site operations preferred
Confident communicator who motivates and engages teams
Strong financial and commercial awareness
A passion for food is a plus!
