As a AGM at ilili Midtown, you will be working alongside the General Manager in delivering an exceptional dining experience to our guests. This will be done through leading a best in class Front of House team in day-to-day operations with a strong focus on Wine/Beverage knowledge.
Job Responsibility:
Oversee and participate in candidate recruiting and onboarding
Train, schedule, and delegate work assignments to all FOH staff
Engage all FOH team members by hosting pre-shift meetings with a focus on the standards of service, large parties, and VIP guests
Develop positive customer relationships and address any guest concerns in a timely manner
Display floor presence during service and assist guests with wine selection as needed
Execute ordering of supplied/product for the FOH team as needed
Hold staff accountable to restaurant policies, service standards, and steps of service
administer fair and consistent corrective action when appropriate
Control cash and other receipts by adhering to cash handling and reconciliation procedures in accordance with restaurant policies and procedures
Understand and comply with all federal, state, county and municipal regulations that pertain to health, safety and labor requirements of the restaurant, employees and guests
Keep turn over at a minimum by creating a positive work environment
Oversee full floor operations in the absence of the General Manager
Requirements:
2 years of experience
5+ years of Dining Room Management in an upscale to fine dining, high volume NYC restaurant
Degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or Culinary a plus but not required
Proven track record of successfully managing team members and the guest experience in high volume settings
Excellent communication skills and a quick thinker who enjoys problem-solving
Experience in training strong FOH teams
