Assistant General Manager - TAP Hospitality Group, at Boston Pizza, one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies for 24 years running, oversee the daily Heart of House operations of Canada’s leading casual dining restaurant. They are responsible for ensuring that our most important people, our guests and our Heart of House team members, have an excellent Boston Pizza experience from start to finish. Skilled at overseeing food preparation, ordering supplies, scheduling shifts, and monitoring inventory levels, they also demonstrate outstanding leadership, have a strong foodservice background, communicate effectively and most of all, champion a fun and safe working environment for all.
Job Responsibility:
Supporting the daily operations of the restaurant alongside the General Manager
Leading and developing Front of House and Back of House teams
Ensuring Boston Pizza standards for service, food quality, cleanliness, and hospitality are consistently met
Coaching and mentoring supervisors and hourly team members
Assisting with scheduling, labour management, and cost controls
Driving guest satisfaction and positive guest experiences
Addressing operational challenges quickly and professionally
Supporting hiring, onboarding, and training initiatives
Maintaining strong floor leadership and team accountability
Requirements:
2–5 years of restaurant leadership experience (Supervisor, FOH Manager, Kitchen Manager, or AGM level)
Strong people leadership and communication skills
Ability to coach, mentor, and hold teams accountable
Experience in high-volume casual dining environments preferred
A hands-on leader who enjoys being on the floor with the team
Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
Flexible availability including evenings and weekends
