A day in the life of an Assistant General Manager includes supporting the overall operations, performance, and guest experience of Villatel rental homes across Florida's Space Coast. You will drive operational excellence, support revenue goals, lead the field teams, and ensure our homes are consistently guest-ready and brand compliant. You will be a key leader in the day-to-day operations and serve as the General Manager's right hand, stepping in to solve problems and elevate both the guest and owner experience.
Job Responsibility
Support the overall operations, performance, and guest experience of Villatel rental homes across Florida's Space Coast
Drive operational excellence, support revenue goals, lead the field teams, and ensure our homes are consistently guest-ready and brand compliant
Oversee daily operations across a portfolio of vacation rental homes
Ensure all homes meet brand standards for cleanliness, maintenance, and presentation
Conduct regular property inspections and quality audits
Partner with housekeeping, maintenance, and vendor teams to ensure timely turnovers
Monitor and improve operational efficiency across all properties in the portfolio
Supervise and/or support field teams including maintenance, guest experience, and housekeeping teams
Assist in hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management
Foster a culture of accountability, responsiveness, and service excellence
Act as a point of escalation for operational and team-related issues
Ensure a seamless, high-quality guest experience from arrival to departure
Resolve guest concerns quickly and professionally
Identify opportunities to improve guest satisfaction and online reviews
Support the implementation of guest experience initiatives and service standards
Support communication with homeowners regarding property performance and needs
Ensure homes are well-maintained and aligned with company and owner expectations
Assist with onboarding new properties into the portfolio
Support cost control initiatives and budget adherence
Monitor performance indicators such as occupancy, guest satisfaction, and operational efficiency
Identify opportunities to increase revenue and reduce expenses
Assist with forecasting and reporting as needed
Requirements
3–5+ years of leadership experience in hospitality, vacation rentals, or property management
Proven leadership experience managing teams in a fast-paced environment
Strong operational mindset with attention to detail
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in property management systems (e.g., Guesty, Hostaway, or similar) is a plus
Experience with multi-unit or geographically dispersed properties preferred
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between properties
