Assistant General Manager

• Ensure all policies and procedures in both the Health and Safety Employee Policy and Company Procedures Handbook are adhered to
• Adhere to and maintain the JD Gyms Brand Standard
• Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly safety checks, report and chase all defects to ensure the building and equipment is safe to use
• Recruit and manage a team of employed Fitness Coaches and General Assistants
• Hold regular team meetings to aid development and keep everyone updated
• Work towards and aim to achieve all sales and membership targets set
• Drive and maximise secondary spending revenue
• Ensure the gym facility is of the highest standard of cleanliness
• Ensure in-house cleaners are cleaning to the highest standard
• Manage the weekly banking process to minimise wastage and variance, maximising profit
• Ensure uniform standards are adhered to
• Deliver outstanding member service
• Help create an environment where the team enjoy themselves
• Be an ambassador of JD Gyms

• Proven and successful track record of management experience within a leisure related industry
• Passionate about customer service
• Qualified to at least Level 2 Gym Instructor
• Proven track record in driving sales and co-ordinating local marketing activity
• Proven track record in recruiting and managing a successful team
• Ideally experience as an Assistant Manager overseeing all business areas within a leisure facility or substantial experience as a Fitness Manager or other similar operational function
