This candidate will report to the General Counsel and be an integral member of the legal team responsible for the day-to-day legal work related to employment law matters.
Job Responsibility:
Provide direct legal support on a full range of North American employment law issues relating to the entire employee lifecycle
Advise on labor and employment law compliance
Oversee and direct internal investigations in addition to managing litigation, claims, agency charges, and government investigations internally
Develop, revise, and implement best in class employment policies, procedures, and scalable training solutions
Oversee external counsel support for non-US employment law issues
Requirements:
JD degree from a nationally recognized law school
Admitted to the Bar of at least one state and eligible for admission as in-house counsel
6 years or more of legal experience as US employment law attorney
Experience with life science / manufacturing / CDMO is preferred
Must possess excellent legal judgment and business acumen
Must be able to work comfortably in an intense, fast-paced environment
Must be able to manage workload and prioritize impactful issues
Must be a team player
Must demonstrate gravitas and excellent communication skills
Must inspire confidence through the strength of his or her intellect, judgment, leadership style, and ability to manage interpersonal relationships at all levels
Must demonstrate ability to work effectively with senior management, and collaboratively with other corporate functions, including HR and Finance
Must possess excellent organizational, project management and technological skills
