Job Description:

Ironclad is searching for an experienced commercial counsel to lead our world-class commercial legal team. We are seeking a collaborative and results-driven commercial legal leader to lead key company initiatives and negotiate Ironclad’s most complex enterprise B2B transactions. This individual will be a strategic partner to the business, driving aggressive growth and operational excellence by leveraging our legal technology.

Job Responsibility:

  • Strategic Deal Leadership: Partner with Sales, Partnership, and Procurement teams to lead and close the company’s most complex, high-value enterprise B2B transactions
  • AI & Privacy Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as an authority on AI related contracting terms, including data protection, privacy and security
  • Operational Excellence & Automation: Act as "Customer Zero." Partner closely with our Head of Legal Operations to design and implement scalable commercial processes by automating legal workflows within Ironclad
  • GTM Strategic Partner: Partner directly with Sales and Finance leadership on forecasting and legal capacity planning
  • Brand Evangelism: Represent Ironclad as a thought leader and "Legal Tech Evangelist" at industry conferences and events
  • Team Development: Lead, mentor, and build a world-class commercial legal team

Requirements:

  • JD from an accredited law school and active bar membership
  • 12+ years of legal experience (ideally a mix of top-tier firm and high-growth SaaS in-house) managing sophisticated commercial transactions
