The Assistant Front Desk Manager oversees, directs and controls the activities of the various Rooms departments, with a focus on Front Desk, and will also oversee the operation of Housekeeping, Concierge, Bell Staff, Driveway and CORE, in the absence of a manager. The overnight coverage will ensure supervision of all departments assigned on the overnight shift. This position has the opportunity to shape guest experience by providing exceptional knowledge and service in support of our world-renowned hotels.
Job Responsibility:
Act as the manager on duty when senior managers are not available
Manage shifts in the Rooms Departments
Respond to guest requests
Ensure exemplary level of service
Oversee, direct and control activities of various Rooms departments
Ensure supervision of all departments assigned on overnight shift
Review and monitor schedules
Tour hotel to ensure maintenance and upkeep
Monitor employee activities
Resolve customer complaints
Assist customers with hotel services inquiries
Coordinate arrivals, departures and billing
Block rooms for arrivals
Review daily arrivals
Follow up on credit problems
Review paid-outs, rebates, Petty Cash disbursements and Direct Billings
Ensure posting and collection of garage revenues
Check cashiers’ work
Check guests in and out
Assign room type and correct rate
Arrange luggage delivery
Issue keys
Check out guest
Ascertain guest satisfaction
Post late charges
Present bill
Settle bill
Review late arrivals and early departures
Plan for overselling
Utilize computer systems
Requirements:

Checks guests in and out efficiently and friendly
