Job Responsibility:

  • To support the Framework Estimator in delivering high-quality and accurate cost estimates for the DCWW Major Civils Framework
  • A key part of the role is to utilise Benchmark Estimating Software (BES) to input, manage and analyse cost data efficiently, ensuring consistency and accuracy across all framework tenders
  • The role will assist in coordinating supply chain engagement, managing tender documentation, and ensuring timely return of quotations to produce compliant and competitive submissions

Requirements:

  • Numerical & Analytical Ability: Strong skills in cost breakdowns, spreadsheets, and financial analysis
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to scrutinize drawings, specifications, and contract documents for estimating accuracy
  • Communication Skills: Clear written and verbal communication for liaising with suppliers, contractors, and internal teams
  • Organizational Skills: Managing multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously
  • Technical Knowledge: Understanding of construction methods, materials, and infrastructure processes (especially water and utilities)
