Provides administrative, instructional, and recruiting support services to an athletic program while ensuring adherence to the highest professional standards, ethical behavior, and in accordance with all Heidelberg University Athletic Department, Ohio Athletics Conference, NCAA and Title IX standards, rules, and regulations.
Job Responsibility:
Assists in scheduling practice, conditioning, training and athletic program event sessions
Arranges travel including transportation, meals, hotel, etc. for student-athletes, coaches, and equipment
Creates and maintains records of student-athletes, training, practices, games, performance statistics, equipment, etc.
Provides data associated with and for athletic budget
Acts as Game Manager for other sports' teams as assigned
Schedules, facilitates and supervises training, workout, conditioning, and practice sessions ensuring that facilities are ready and available as needed
Tracks equipment
ensures that equipment is functioning properly
schedules on-going and/or emergency maintenance as necessary
Assists in designing sessions that maximize student-athlete development and performance while emphasizing safety
Evaluates student-athlete training and performance and recommends changes to improve performance
Assists in recruitment activities of student-athletes in coordination with Admissions
Monitors academic progress in coordination with head coach
Supervises study tables and coordinates with Owen's Center for Teaching and Learning to help students access academic support
Assists and participates in university, department and team fundraising activities and events
Promotes HU, the Athletic Department, and the specific athletic program in a positive manner
May supervise graduate assistant(s) and student employee(s)
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree OR appropriate combination of education and experience
1 year of coaching/athletic experience or other relevant experience required
