Fishers Event Center has an excellent and immediate opening for an Assistant Food and Beverage Manager. Support the Food & Beverage Manager in directing and coordinating the entire food and beverage operation at the facility.
Job Responsibility:
Assists the Food & Beverage Manager in directing and coordinating concession operations at the Fishers Event Center
Markets Food and Beverage services to clients and facilitates Food and Beverage control
Assists in overseeing Food and Beverage operations during event to ensure client satisfaction
Scheduling event staff based on event operations and needs
Support client food & beverage and operational needs for the event
Makes recommendations for menu/theme development for the event
Assist in developing work plans including scheduling and ordering, and assigns appropriate duties to subordinates
Support Food and Beverage operations during event to ensure client satisfaction and quality control standards
Inspects food service facilities to ensure that equipment and buildings meet requirements of state and local health laws and internal regulations
Assists with creation of Food and Beverage sales projections and budgets for facility events
Facilitates payroll processing for internal staff and NPO payouts
Maintains inventory control
Works within guidelines for food and labor costs
Analyzes information concerning facility operation such as patron attendance and labor costs to prepare budget and to maintain cost control of facility operations
Inspects and tastes prepared foods to maintain quality standards and sanitation regulations
Aware of current alcohol handling rules and regulations
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree (BA) in Food & Beverage Management or related field preferred
Minimum 2 years experience in management level position in Food & Beverage or training
or equivalent combination of education and experience
Servsafe certified
Valid Indiana Liquor Permit
Knowledge of spreadsheet software and payroll processing software
Advanced oral and written communication skills
Strong orientation to customer service
Excellent organizational, planning, communication and inter-personal skills
Ability to undertake and complete multiple tasks
Ability to assess client requirements and deliver ensuring client satisfaction
Ability to supervise food preparation, service and cleanup
Ability to build and maintain relationship with vendors
Ability to ensure all safety and sanitation procedures are followed in compliance with HACCP
Requires ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays, in addition to normal business hours
