Job Description

Fishers Event Center has an excellent and immediate opening for an Assistant Food and Beverage Manager. Support the Food & Beverage Manager in directing and coordinating the entire food and beverage operation at the facility.

Job Responsibility

  • Assists the Food & Beverage Manager in directing and coordinating concession operations at the Fishers Event Center
  • Markets Food and Beverage services to clients and facilitates Food and Beverage control
  • Assists in overseeing Food and Beverage operations during event to ensure client satisfaction
  • Scheduling event staff based on event operations and needs
  • Support client food & beverage and operational needs for the event
  • Makes recommendations for menu/theme development for the event
  • Assist in developing work plans including scheduling and ordering, and assigns appropriate duties to subordinates
  • Support Food and Beverage operations during event to ensure client satisfaction and quality control standards
  • Inspects food service facilities to ensure that equipment and buildings meet requirements of state and local health laws and internal regulations
  • Assists with creation of Food and Beverage sales projections and budgets for facility events
  • Facilitates payroll processing for internal staff and NPO payouts
  • Maintains inventory control
  • Works within guidelines for food and labor costs
  • Analyzes information concerning facility operation such as patron attendance and labor costs to prepare budget and to maintain cost control of facility operations
  • Inspects and tastes prepared foods to maintain quality standards and sanitation regulations
  • Aware of current alcohol handling rules and regulations

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree (BA) in Food & Beverage Management or related field preferred
  • Minimum 2 years experience in management level position in Food & Beverage or training
  • or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Servsafe certified
  • Valid Indiana Liquor Permit
  • Knowledge of spreadsheet software and payroll processing software
  • Advanced oral and written communication skills
  • Strong orientation to customer service
  • Excellent organizational, planning, communication and inter-personal skills
  • Ability to undertake and complete multiple tasks
  • Ability to assess client requirements and deliver ensuring client satisfaction
  • Ability to supervise food preparation, service and cleanup
  • Ability to build and maintain relationship with vendors
  • Ability to ensure all safety and sanitation procedures are followed in compliance with HACCP
  • Requires ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays, in addition to normal business hours
