Job Responsibility:

  • Own the Balance Sheet: Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting standards
  • Drive Reconciliations: Prepare and maintain reconciliations for key GL accounts, collaborating with Operating Centers and stakeholders to resolve outstanding items
  • Royalty Calculations: Execute quarterly royalty calculations for service, technology, and trademark fees
  • Intercompany Excellence: Manage cross-charging processes and oversee AR/AP balances across Unilever entities, ensuring timely settlement and proper documentation
  • Month-End Closing Activities: Prepare and post journals for agency fees, accruals, intercompany transactions, reclassifications, and other adjustments
  • Leadership & Collaboration: Lead Controller Network Meetings, ensuring alignment and issue resolution across finance and business teams. Lead Balance Sheet Review with CFO
  • Continuous Improvement: Support regional projects to harmonize RTR processes, strengthen internal controls, and drive simplification for operational effectiveness
  • Problem-Solving: Identify key issues and deliver efficient solutions through robust procedures

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree: Finance and Accounting
  • Strong Financial Accounting skills
  • Experience working with large complex data from multiple sources
  • Experience managing local, regional, and global stakeholders
  • Experience in presenting to and communicating with Finance and non-Finance stakeholders
  • Resilience (ability to cope with time pressure and challenges)
  • High degree of flexibility and ability to quickly understand new topics
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other key stakeholders
  • Strong engagement, presentation, and communication skills
  • High attention to details and self-driven
  • Ability to present complex information in a simplified manner
  • Fluent in English both in reading & writing or willingness to learn quickly
