Job Description:

As the Assistant Financial Accountant, reporting to the Financial Accountant, you will prepare of general ledger transactions, balance sheet reconciliations, assist with treasury and capital functions, financial reporting and year end preparation. You will support the team's drive for a strong financial control culture through partnership and evaluation.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage master file data such as the fixed asset register including acquisition and disposal tracking
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations including reconciliation of sub ledgers
  • Liaise and providing support to internal stakeholders
  • Assist with monthly, statutory and external reporting
  • Provide support during internal and external audits

Requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in commerce, business, finance, or accounting
  • Demonstrated 2 years+ experience in a similar role
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work
  • Sound analytical skills, ability to interpret data and problem solve
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines and contribute effectively as a team member within a multidisciplinary team environment
  • Work towards becoming a CPA / CA
