Job Description:

This is a high-impact position that bridges traditional finance management with modern technological oversight. You will serve as the primary financial steward for a critical shipping business unit, ensuring accuracy and efficiency across all transactional activities.

Job Responsibility:

Oversee and manage the full spectrum of transactional finance performed by the external accounting vendor, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and timely reporting for the shipping business unit
Lead process improvement and automation initiatives, leveraging expertise in systems like Oracle or IMOS, to integrate new technologies like data analytics or AI to drive financial efficiency and provide strategic commercial insights to leadership

Requirements:

Degree in Finance/Accounting, or related field with professional accreditation
Relevant years of strong foundational finance skills with a keen eye for technology and operational excellence
Proven experience managing or significantly contributing to the full spectrum of transactional finance (e.g., controlling, accounting operations)
Demonstrated experience successfully managing outsourced external finance vendors or Shared Service Centers
Prior experience in the shipping, maritime, or logistics sector is highly desirable
Prior working knowledge of large-scale ERP systems like Oracle is highly desirable
Experience with specialized maritime or ship management software, such as IMOS (Integrated Maritime Operations System), would be a distinct advantage
A good understanding of and passion for implementing financial automation tools, data analytics, or AI-driven solutions to optimize finance functions

Nice to have:

Prior experience in the shipping, maritime, or logistics sector is highly desirable
Prior working knowledge of large-scale ERP systems like Oracle is highly desirable
Experience with specialized maritime or ship management software, such as IMOS (Integrated Maritime Operations System), would be a distinct advantage
