The town of Hudson seeks a detail-oriented and highly motivated professional to join our Finance Department as the Assistant Finance Director/Assistant Town Accountant. This position plays a key role in supporting the town’s financial operations, ensuring compliance with state and local regulations, and maintaining accurate financial records.
Job Responsibility:
Managing the town’s accounting functions, such as general ledger, accounts payable, and payroll
Preparing and analyzing financial reports
Collaborating with department heads and staff to provide financial guidance
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a concentration in accounting
Strong knowledge of Massachusetts municipal finance laws and GAAP
Proficiency in financial software such as Munis and Vadar
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
